Chris Carver appointed to the non-executive board
The Carver Group has appointed Chris Carver CEng MIMechE AMEI as a non-executive director, strengthening the board and adding industry experience.
The appointment strengthens the ambitious growth plans for the group to double in size over the next five years through organic development and carefully selected acquisitions.
The youngest son of chairman David Carver, Chris represents the eighth generation of Carvers in to the company, which is now in its 243rd year.
David Carver said: “We are delighted to welcome Chris to the Board, demonstrating the continuity of this family owned business.
“He brings international, large-company strategic energy management skills to the Group and his experience will open new opportunities as we plan further expansion.”
Chris Carver added: “I have worked for much of the last decade in the industrial and commercial energy consultancy and energy service performance contracting in many countries of the world, so I am keen to bring the global experience into the Carver Group, helping the business to grow and thrive.”
The 33-year-old graduated with a First Class Honours degree in Engineering with Business Finance from UCL and the LSE in 2008. He went on to achieve an MSc from Imperial College in ‘Sustainable Energy Futures’ in 2009.
Last year Chris was also re-elected to the executive committee for the Energy Institute Young Professionals Network.
